Meet Steve Losner
Mayor of Homestead
Mayor Steve Losner is leading a Healthy Homestead.
Steve Losner is a husband, father, and community advocate. A fourth-generation Homestead resident, he’s dedicated his life to public service, serving as our Vice Mayor for six years and as our Mayor since 2019.
When he saw how local elected officials prioritized the needs of developers over Homestead families, using public dollars for wasteful pet projects and promoting high-density overdevelopment, he didn’t sit back and watch. He stepped up.
As a voice for Homestead families, Steve has advocated for cleaner streets, better housing access, and a higher quality of life for our community.
From fighting overdevelopment and keeping our streets safe to creating good paying jobs and expanding housing access, he’s delivered real change for our city.
And he’s not done yet.
Steve is running for re-election to build on his record of success, put our residents first, grow our economy, and continue leading a healthy Homestead.
Steve holds a J.D. from Mercer University and lives in Homestead with his wife, Lori. The two have three children. Alex, the oldest, serves as a member of the United States Marine Corps, and twins Max and Lizzie recently finished university.
